Application for the Master of Arts in Ministry

The Master of Arts in Ministry Degree Program is open to all Catholic laity, deacons, and religious without regard to race, gender, or national origin who are seeking to deepen their knowledge of the Roman Catholic Faith and/or serve in leadership roles in their parishes. The basic requirement for admission to the Master of Arts in Ministry program is a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution plus the requisite qualities of character and commitment to the mission of the Church. The applicant must submit a fully completed written application with accompanying Application Fee of $75.00. The application includes an essay, undergraduate and graduate transcripts and three recommendations (one from a parish or religious institution). Upon receipt of all the above mentioned materials, two admissions interviews will be scheduled, one with the director and assistant director and the second with an admissions committee. Further, confidential psychological testing will be arranged by the seminary for the applicants.

The Master of Arts in Ministry program has a rolling admissions policy. In addition to degree candidates, the Theological Institute welcomes laity, deacons, and religious, who seek to take courses for continuing education credits or personal enrichment. Courses successfully completed for credit while an applicant is a non-degree student will be counted toward the completion of the Master of Arts in Ministry degree when an applicant is accepted as a degree student. Auditors are welcome if space is available.
