The Theological Institute is offering a Catechetical Certificate Program – based upon the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) – that presents the living breadth of Christian wisdom, teaches practical skills, and offers a path to deeper spirituality to make students more effective agents of the Holy Spirit in advancing the Kingdom of God’s love.
The program has a new faculty who are specialists in their fields of study. Each week they will lead you through one or more of the following topics:
Jesus Christ Virgin Mary
The certificate program has the following objectives:
- To appropriate more deeply the riches of the Catholic faith.
- To improve facility in presenting the truths of the Church.
- To learn more about how different age groups learn.
- To explore the importance of the Church’s evangelical mission.
- To further develop skills of catechesis to evangelize in a parish, at home, and in the world.
In addition to the Saturday sessions, the program requires student participation in three skills workshops. One of these skills workshops (Psychology of Learning and Emotional Development) is mandatory. Students can choose the other two workshops from a workshop schedule which the certificate program coordinates and creates. Students will receive the skills workshop schedule on or before the first certificate program session.
